Chalet de Pierres, 1850

Courchevel

The Chalet de Pierres was built on the ruins of a sheep pen, with stones recovered from an old train station in the valley. Its dreamy setting and authentic charm make it one of Courchevel’s flagship mountain-top restaurants.

Diners fresh off the slopes are first greeted by the sweeping terraces, then an immense floor-to-ceiling window opening the second floor up to the surrounding mountainside.

Above all, the plush interior ensures a cosy, convivial experience.

The central attraction of the ground floor is a majestic fireplace, designed to perfectly complement the grand dimensions of the main hall. Yet the warmth of the chalet radiates from the interior decoration. Endless textures and bright, cheerful velvets create a snug atmosphere.
The bar countertop is traditionally made of solid zinc. The French countryside pops up in every niche and cranny: a bird under a lamp, an antique wooden clock… Even the restrooms look like ski-rooms.
